During the discussion of the Verkhovna Rada session results, the key event was the vote for Ms. Svyrydenko as part of the new Cabinet. Not all 'Servant of the People' MPs supported her: out of 210 faction members, only 201 voted in favor, with nine abstentions for various reasons.
'European Solidarity' unanimously voted against, 'Batkivshchyna' took a neutral stance and abstained. Svyrydenko also received support from 'Dovira,' 'For the Future,' 'Restoration of Ukraine,' some MPs from OPZZh, and one MP from 'Holos.'
Experts conclude that this vote reveals a lack of stable majority among 'Servant of the People' for complex appointments. The prominent role of Davyd Arakhamia in gathering votes and his parliamentary influence was emphasized.
It is forecasted that the new Cabinet will function until the end of the war plus several months. Experts note the government’s core composition remains, with no significant decline in its performance expected. The overall effectiveness will depend not only on Svyrydenko but also on Shmyhal, now serving as Defense Minister.
Special attention is paid to US–Ukraine potential cooperation in drone manufacturing, regarded as a development driver for the sector and the country. However, analysts believe the first month's performance will make the Cabinet’s effectiveness clear.
