Mass Drone Strikes: Attacks on Odesa, Pavlohrad, Moscow, and Humanitarian Crisis in Occupied Donetsk

Russia launched mass drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, including Odesa, Pavlohrad, and Shostka; in response, Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow, Rostov, and occupied Donetsk, where a humanitarian crisis is unfolding.

Russian forces continue to terrorize Ukraine’s civilian population through mass drone strikes. Last night, Odesa came under attack, resulting in damage to a residential building and one fatality. Russian propaganda openly admits that targeting civilians is an intentional tactic.

Pavlohrad faced what may have been the most massive attack since the war began, with cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as drones, targeting the city. Meanwhile, Shostka in the Sumy region was also hit by intense aerial strikes using drones and guided bombs.

In response, Ukrainian drones launched attacks across Russian territory, including Moscow, the Moscow region, Rostov, and the occupied city of Donetsk. Flight restrictions were imposed at several Russian airports, and train delays caused congestion at Rostov’s main station.

The humanitarian situation in the occupied city of Donetsk is worsening, with constant water shortages forcing residents to go without basic necessities. Even when water is available, it is brief and celebrated by locals; at the same time, tariffs increase despite poor conditions. The occupation administration and local authorities deny the existence of these problems, but residents complain of a collapsing infrastructure and many seek to leave.

Ukrainian military units continue to thank volunteers and charities for their support, especially for providing drones used in defense. They are actively calling for donations to buy more drones to protect Ukrainian skies and increase pressure on the enemy.
