Drone Attacks on Russia, Pokrovsk Frontline Situation and US-Russian Political Reactions

A review of overnight UAV attacks on Volgograd, their impact on energy and transport, battle for Pokrovsk and the latest US-Russia political developments.

Ukrainian drones launched further attacks on sites inside Russia overnight. According to Russian officials, all the UAVs were shot down by air defenses, but resulting debris damaged high-voltage power lines in the Vylovlensk area, triggered a fire at an energy facility in Frolovo, and led to temporary airport shutdowns in Volgograd and Tambov, disrupting the region's transport infrastructure.

Meanwhile, fierce fighting continues in the Donetsk region, especially around Pokrovsk. Russian troops claim tactical gains and a presence inside the city. However, independent sources confirm only their advance on the outskirts and continued threats from Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Ukrainian military reports say Russian forces use mass infantry assaults, including wounded soldiers, causing high drone expenditure for defensive operations.

Ukraine's command calls for urgent support of FPV drone units, as the need at the front remains acute. In recent days, funds have been raised for hundreds of new drones, which have already been delivered to the defenders of Pokrovsk and other units. Ukrainian soldiers have expressed gratitude to volunteers and all who contribute to these collections.

The political situation is also tense internationally. The US president continues to demand that Russia end the war and is considering sending a special envoy to Moscow with a new ultimatum. At the same time, Russia shows no sign of readiness to halt operations, prompting new statements about further US sanctions if escalation continues.

These events confirm the persistent high intensity of hostilities on the front and growing security risks in Russian border regions, as well as continued active US diplomatic and sanctions measures.
