Donald Trump has pledged to defend the eastern borders of the North Atlantic Alliance in case of Russian escalation. Meanwhile, Belarus has expressed a desire for peace with Poland, stating that it is the political leadership that is deepening the crisis between the two countries.

In Ukraine, the situation remains tense. As a result of Russian drone strikes on Sumy, a major fire broke out, with rescuers battling the fire in non-residential buildings over a large area. In Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, a person was killed due to shelling. In Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops used drones, artillery, and air bombs, wounding two people.

Belarus has stated its interest in reducing tensions with Poland, blaming Polish political leadership for escalation. Meanwhile, Russia’s economy continues to weaken: polls show nearly half of small and medium businesses expect to miss their annual sales targets amid declining purchasing power.
