Hello friends. Today, it was reported that a drone strike eliminated Leontiev, a collaborator and head of the occupation administration of Nova Kakhovka. In addition, a major fire broke out at the Yaroslavl oil refinery (OR), which close to 100 emergency responders tried to extinguish for hours.
The Yaroslavl oil refinery is one of the largest in Russia, supplying mainly the Russian military with fuel, including gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, and more. The fire occurred suddenly, reportedly without a direct attack by Ukrainian drones, but it exacerbated the fuel shortage in many Russian regions, including the temporarily occupied Crimea, where gasoline is now rationed to 30 liters per customer.
Russian propagandists admit the situation is not improving despite government promises, while imports from Kazakhstan and Belarus do not resolve the problem. The shortage affects both the civilian market and the occupied Ukrainian territories.
The fuel crisis is not only due to fires: recent Ukrainian drone strikes have halted about 40% of Russia's oil refining capacity. Russian authorities link this crisis to “external interference” and the lack of refinery protection because air defense systems are deployed in the war against Ukraine. Some governors openly acknowledge the scale of the crisis, being called heroes for speaking out.
At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are receiving new FPV drones helping to protect the country and combat enemy forces. Thanks to donations and charity initiatives, citizens and organizations supply the military with drones that enhance defense capabilities.
These events occurred on the eve of Ukraine’s Defenders’ Day. The author congratulates all defenders, urges continued support for the army, and highlights that every drone is a vital investment in Ukraine’s victory.
