Overnight, Ukrainian drones attacked critical infrastructure in the Odesa and Chernihiv regions, as well as facilities in occupied Crimea and various regions of Russia.
The main targets were two Russian oil refineries—NС Oil in Ulyanovsk region and another in the Republic of Mari El, where massive fires started following the drone strikes. Additionally, the Novobryansk power substation and Stavrolen gas processing plant in the Stavropol region—an important facility for Russia’s energy exports—were hit. This marks the second recent attack on Russian gas processing plants by Ukrainian drones.
Russian propagandists tried to assure the public that the fuel sector remains stable; however, independent sources note issues with gasoline prices and a shift in Russian consumer behavior, with many cutting back even on food.
The US administration has stopped reacting to Russia’s nuclear threats, and the recent test of the “Burevestnik” cruise missile did not elicit a significant diplomatic response. According to US intelligence, Russia remains determined to continue its military campaign and shows no readiness for compromise on Ukraine.
At the same time, Ukrainian command reported that Russian forces stepped up their offensive in the east, especially in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka and Kostiantynivka directions, using armored vehicles. The Ukrainian Armed Forces thanked volunteers for their contributions of FPV drones, which have proven effective on the frontlines.
Fundraising for drones continues, and anyone can support Ukrainian troops. The situation remains tense, yet Ukraine’s military asserts that its strategy of targeting enemy infrastructure is gradually being implemented.
