Overnight, Ukrainian security and defense forces conducted a massive drone attack on energy and port infrastructure across Russia. The main strike targeted the city of Tuapse, where port facilities were damaged and fires broke out following drone impacts. Among the affected sites were shadow fleet tankers, the Rosneft oil terminal, and reportedly the deep-water pier. Attacks also occurred in Oryol, Kursk region, and temporarily occupied Crimea. In Lipetsk region, the Usman traction substation was put out of operation.
Due to infrastructure damage, power supply disruptions are expected in some regions, notably in Luhansk. Russian authorities have decided to recruit reservists to guard such facilities, are amending legislation, and planning year-round conscription, including in occupied Ukrainian territories.
The front line situation remains difficult: heavy fighting continues near Pokrovsk, with Ukrainian command strengthening its defenses. Drones are actively supplied to military units, and charity initiatives support the Armed Forces.
Overall, last night’s events demonstrate an escalation in fighting and the impact of Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s economy and infrastructure.
