Key Political News: NABU Searches, US Shutdown Resolution, Zaluzhny's Statement, and EU Developments

Overview: NABU searches of Mindich and Halushchenko, US Senate shutdown resolution, Zaluzhny’s statements, and EU internal disagreements.

On November 10, presenter Oler Klychok covered the day’s main political events. The major highlight was the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) searching the premises of Timur Mindich, businessman and co-owner of Kvartal 95 studio, who reportedly left Ukraine hours before the investigation. Searches were also conducted at the home of Herman Halushchenko, Minister of Justice and former Minister of Energy, as well as the Energoatom company.

Meanwhile, in the US, the Senate passed a preliminary resolution to end the government shutdown and unlock funding for key programs, including aid for Ukraine. After lengthy talks, Republicans and Democrats agreed on measures to fund the government until January 30 of the next year. The resolution awaits final approval.

On the international stage, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and now ambassador to the UK, Valerii Zaluzhny, reiterated that Ukraine does not reject peace, but will not agree to disguised capitulation. He insisted on restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity and holding Russia responsible for war crimes. Simultaneously, divisions within the European Union regarding support for Ukraine are intensifying. The investigation into the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage involves a possible Ukrainian link, leading to political debates within the EU.

Other news: Russia continued missile and drone attacks on Ukraine, and drone incidents were reported over a Belgian nuclear power plant. Additionally, former US President Donald Trump criticized the BBC for allegedly editing his speech and promised Americans dividends from customs revenues. Ukrainian authorities emphasize unity and diplomacy as key to future victory.
