On November 11, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that Russia is preparing a decisive operation in the Donetsk direction. Meanwhile, the situation at the front in the Zaporizhia region has sharply deteriorated, according to Ukrainian military and analysts. The enemy actively attacked energy facilities in Kharkiv, Odesa and Donetsk regions. Air defense shot down 53 out of 119 enemy drones. The Ministry of Energy reports that restoration works are ongoing at the damaged facilities.
New Ukrainian drone strikes have been recorded at the oil refinery in Saratov, Russia. The General Staff reports that Russia has amassed 150,000 troops for an offensive on Pokrovsk and neighboring cities to cut off logistics. Deepstate analysts describe a difficult situation in the east of Zaporizhia region, particularly near Uspenivka, Solodke and Pryvilne, with gradual enemy advances.
The energy sector faces a major corruption scandal surrounding Energoatom. Both the President and the Prime Minister of Ukraine have declared support for the investigation, while the supervisory board of Energoatom has called an urgent meeting and will initiate an independent review.
Former US President Donald Trump reiterated that he would not provide aid to Ukraine for free and announced tariff cuts for India in relation to reductions in Russian oil imports. The US Senate approved a bill to keep the government operating, which is important for international aid.
Sweden’s defense minister emphasized the need for close defense cooperation among Northern European and Baltic countries. Russian propaganda meanwhile claims Ukraine tried to steal a MiG-31 jet for NATO-provocation purposes—no official confirmation from Ukraine exists.
