On November 25, Ukraine experienced another troubled night: a massive missile attack targeted Kyiv and other regions. There are reports of seven fatalities, dozens injured, and destroyed houses. Power outages have been introduced in Kyiv and several other regions, especially on the city's left bank.
According to official reports, Russian missiles and drones also entered Moldovan and Romanian territory. Russia's Ministry of Defense claims a record interception of 249 Ukrainian drones in one night, though this data requires independent verification.
Meanwhile, talks between Ukrainian and Russian delegations, mediated by the US and a special Trump envoy, continue in the United Arab Emirates. Ukraine expects further support from European partners for peace initiatives. The Russian side described the negotiation plan as a "failure," but discussions are ongoing.
President Zelensky has been in contact with European leaders, including the UK Prime Minister. French President Macron has not ruled out the participation of French troops in an international mission in Ukraine after a peace agreement. Sweden's General Staff announced plans to acquire cruise missiles to defend against potential aggression.
Another headline involves a corruption scandal: former head of Luhansk regional administration Serhiy Haidai, accused of fraudulent drone procurement deals, has been mobilized into the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The situation remains tense with ongoing missile attacks, complex diplomacy, and reform efforts in Ukraine.
