Andriy Yermak resigned as Head of the President’s Office after searches. Zelensky announces new appointments and government reforms.

On November 28, unexpected political events unfolded: after searches conducted in the apartment of Andriy Yermak, Head of the President’s Office, Yermak submitted his resignation. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in a video address, thanking Yermak for his pro-Ukrainian stance in negotiations.

No official charges have been filed during the searches, but the incident has attracted global media attention. President Zelensky stressed the need for internal strength and announced a shake-up in the President’s Office, along with consultations about a new chief.

Negotiations between Ukraine and the United States will now be led by the Chief of the General Staff, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and intelligence. Zelensky also announced upcoming staff changes in the Ministries of Energy and Justice, as well as possible changes in the Security Service of Ukraine. New appointments and evaluation of current officials are expected soon.

The president emphasized the need for unity and defending Ukraine’s interests both domestically and internationally. He highlighted the importance of passing the 2026 budget, ensuring defense capabilities, social payments, and supporting the armed forces. The government also plans to analyze the work of law enforcement agencies and adopt further decisions regarding staff matters.

These changes in Ukraine’s top officials aim to strengthen national unity and effectiveness in addressing both external and internal challenges.
