During a discussion on the political positions of parties involved in the conflict around Ukraine, experts analyzed possible scenarios for the development of the situation. According to Andriy Yermak, Ukraine will not agree to any territorial concessions or sign any such documents. He also emphasized that Ukraine will not abandon its course towards NATO, which is enshrined in the Constitution.
These stances contrast sharply with the proposals presented in "Trump's peace plan." The Ukrainian side is ready to accept most points but completely rejects key demands for territorial concessions. Experts noted that Trump will not engage in talks until Ukraine reaches an agreement with Russia, highlighting the US role as a third party in potential three-way negotiations.
At the same time, Russia's position remains tough—Moscow refuses to discuss territorial issues directly with Ukraine, preferring negotiations with "key geopolitical players." This approach questions Ukrainian sovereignty and reveals Russia’s desire to address issues without Ukraine as an active participant.
Discussions also highlighted China's growing role in the conflict, particularly through the supply of equipment for armaments. Experts believe that China is capitalizing on the situation and testing its technologies.
Overall, discussion participants concluded that Ukraine must maintain a strong stance on its independence and right to join international alliances. It is also important to inform the international community about China’s role in the war and stress the need for direct US-China negotiations for global security.
