Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a series of talks with European and US leaders, focusing on security guarantees, the peace process, and Ukraine's territorial integrity. Zelensky emphasized that the top priorities are territory issues, reconstruction funding, and security guarantees from Europe and the US.
The president noted progress in the negotiations and stressed the importance of European and Ukrainian unity in defending common interests. The discussions included results from the recent talks in Florida with the American side and upcoming meetings in Europe.
The battlefield situation remains tense, especially near Pokrovsk and Kupyansk. Ukrainian forces destroyed a Shahed drone base in Crimea and have reportedly cleared almost all Russian presence near Kupyansk.
Meanwhile, Germany has moved away from Russian gas, signing a liquefied natural gas import agreement with Argentina. This shift underlines Germany's efforts to end energy dependence on Russia and provides an example for other European countries.
Zelensky also announced internal political steps, including consultations regarding the appointment of a new Head of the Presidential Office and seeking parliamentary support for the national budget. The government is preparing for further peace negotiations and addressing political and security guarantee issues.
Ukraine's leadership calls for unity and open public discussion so that societal opinions are considered when developing state policies in these challenging times.
