The Kremlin has once again issued triumphant statements. Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting at the so-called National Defense Headquarters, where he claimed a willingness to resolve the conflict with Ukraine by diplomatic means, but on an ultimatum: if Ukraine and the West refuse Russia's terms, the Russian army will continue its offensive to "liberate its historic lands."
Putin also announced that the new "Areshnik" missile system would be put on combat duty by the end of this year, alongside successful tests of the cruise missile "Burevestnik" and the underwater drone "Poseidon." According to him, these systems will provide Russia with a strategic advantage for decades to come.
The Kremlin's rhetoric included harsh remarks against the West, including offensive statements about European countries. Moscow's position remains unchanged: any compromise must acknowledge Russian jurisdiction over the annexed territories, including Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions, and Crimea.
Putin also highlighted relations with the Trump administration and expressed gratitude to North Korea for support. Russian Defense Minister Belousov and Kremlin spokesperson Peskov confirmed that while the Kremlin hopes for Western concessions, it will not compromise on the occupied regions.
It is expected that Putin will repeat these points at his major press conference on December 19. Meanwhile, Russia continues to urge the West to accept its ultimatums, maintains nuclear blackmail, and escalates its military rhetoric.
