An expert discusses the lack of real choice in the current negotiations regarding the war. He emphasizes that all favorable scenarios are now out of reach, leaving only disadvantageous options on the table.
“All trump cards are now held by the other side. Good plans are inaccessible, and all promising developments have been lost,” he notes. The situation is difficult: the choice is between a less acceptable and a worse scenario. Victorious outcomes are nowhere in sight, and the expert calls optimistic forecasts inappropriate.
He also points out the psychological risk for society: "The habit of suffering and hardship leads to passive survival, rather than striving for improvement." According to him, society risks getting used to hopelessness and losing the motivation for positive change; every small achievement then distracts from the bigger issues.
The expert concludes that peace negotiations are starting at the worst point since the war began, making any breakthrough solution highly unlikely. The main danger, he warns, is society adapting to adverse conditions and constant loss.
