Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that all documents needed for a peaceful settlement are ready and that he is prepared to meet with Donald Trump. According to Zelensky, further progress depends on Russia's readiness to accept the peace agreements that it itself helped to propose.
Meanwhile, Russia has hinted at its vision for the situation through diplomatic channels in France, though there is no official response yet. French President Emmanuel Macron is preparing further diplomatic contact with Vladimir Putin, possibly within a week.
On the political front, Ukraine continues to count on Western support. Zelensky stated that security guarantees, economic recovery, and bilateral cooperation—especially with European and American partners—are under discussion. The US is also planning separate contacts with Russia.
At the same time, Russia maintains that any Western military aid will be viewed as intervention. The UK and France have announced readiness to support Ukraine, including with military aid and equipment. Ukraine continues to inform partners about the impact of Russian attacks.
Domestically, the Kyiv Court of Appeal allowed Nestor Shufrych, suspected of ties to Russia, to be released on bail of over 33 million UAH. This decision has raised questions about the transparency of the judicial system and possible political agreements ahead of elections.
In conclusion, the diplomatic process toward peace is ongoing, but Russia's position remains unpredictable, and Ukraine's internal political situation continues to raise concerns within society.
