Andriy Sebiga, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said in a major interview with "European Pravda" that Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to meet with Vladimir Putin. The main goal of this meeting would be to address two critical issues—territories and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
Sebiga also noted significant changes in the Russian negotiation team, describing the current delegates as more focused and constructive, without prior ideological disputes. The talks now are centered on finding solutions for key issues such as territorial matters and the security of strategic facilities.
Ukraine is ready to initiate sanctions against Belarus and hold Lukashenko accountable for his role in assisting Russia during the war. At the same time, Ukraine continues talks with Western partners regarding security guarantees, and Zelensky has expressed genuine interest in negotiations with both the US and Russia.
Discussions are ongoing about Ukraine’s reconstruction, weapons supplies, and long-term security guarantees. However, Europe has not yet demonstrated full unity on key decisions concerning Ukraine, and security guarantees are possible only after an interstate peace agreement is signed.
Sebiga stated that Ukraine’s 20-point peace plan is to be signed between Ukraine and the US and separately between Russia and the US, without direct participation of the EU, though Europe remains involved in the process. Security guarantees from the US would be provided only after a peace deal with Russia is concluded. Currently, preparations are underway for a potential meeting between Zelensky and Putin to finalize these agreements.
