Massive Drone Attack: Ukraine Strikes Russia's Key Oil and Gas Infrastructure

Ukraine repelled an unprecedented Russian drone attack and struck the key export ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk, vital for Russia's oil and gas exports.

Yesterday, Russian forces launched one of the most massive drone attacks against Ukraine, deploying about 1,000 drones to terrorize the population. Despite these efforts, Ukrainians maintained their will and spirit—Russians failed to cut off electricity or take away freedom.

At the same time, Ukrainian counterstrikes increased: Ukrainian drones successfully attacked the strategically important Russian ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk in the Baltic Sea. These ports handle significant volumes of Russia’s oil and liquefied gas exports, with Ust-Luga being especially key for gas. As a result, the ports burned for several days, and hundreds of thousands in Belgorod were left without power.

Additionally, the Vyborg Shipyard and an icebreaker under construction were damaged. Experts note that attacks on oil and gas infrastructure increase economic pressure on Russia, highly dependent on energy exports, and may lead to major budget losses.

Amid these strikes, Ukrainian military personnel urged the public to support the front with drone donations. Border guard and assault units thanked the community for FPV drone assistance, boosting their effectiveness against the enemy.

The Russian Federation continues to suffer heavy losses due to its war in Ukraine, and Ukrainian forces call for unified support to bolster defense and achieve victory.
